One of East Africa’s most geographically diverse countries, where lakes, highlands, savannahs and volcanic landscapes exist within close reach of one another. This natural variety has shaped strong regional identities and practical, community-based approaches to education and conservation.

The Green Lion’s Kenya programs are based near Nakuru, on the northern shores of Lake Nakuru and walking distance from the southern gate of Lake Nakuru National Park. The location is close to local schools and within reach of community organisations, conservation areas and rural neighbourhoods. Being positioned slightly outside the town offers a quieter, nature-connected setting while remaining closely linked to the communities and institutions we support.

The Teaching, Childcare and Women’s Empowerment initiatives support education, early childhood development and skills training within local communities. Construction and Renovation programs improve school and community infrastructure. Environmental and Wildlife Conservation programs protect ecosystems, forests and endangered species.

Our Kenya Road Trip complements these placements by linking cultural immersion, conservation and community engagement across the country.
