Itinerary
Day 1: Sunday – Arrival in Sri Lanka
Arrive in Sri Lanka and meet your local team at the airport. You will be transferred to your accommodation in Kandy. Spend the evening settling in and preparing for the week ahead.

Day 2: Monday – Orientation & Cultural Exploration
Begin with an introduction to the program and orientation session. In the afternoon, visit a local herbal garden to learn about Sri Lanka’s medicinal plants, followed by lunch at the spice garden. Later, explore a Ceylon tea factory and discover the country’s iconic tea industry.

Day 3: Tuesday – Medical Project & Doctor Discussion
Start your medical placement by shadowing and observing healthcare professionals at the Kandy General Hospital. In the afternoon and evening, meet a local doctor to learn about the Sri Lankan healthcare system.

Day 4: Wednesday – Women & Children’s Health Session
Continue your hospital placement in the morning. Later in the day, join an awareness session on women and children’s health, covering common diseases, maternal health, and nutrition, led by a local doctor.

Day 5: Thursday – Medical Project & Health Education

Day 8: Sunday – Sunset at the White Buddha Temple
Spend your last full day at the hospital continuing your medical placement. Later, visit the White Buddha Temple (Bahirawakanda Vihara) and watch the sunset from this serene hilltop site.

Day 9: Monday – Departure
Say goodbye to the local team and depart for your return transfer.
