Special Needs
The Green Lion’s Special Needs Support volunteering programs focus on providing respectful, person-centred care through healthcare, education and community support. These programs work alongside local organisations to support children and adults with disabilities, as well as elderly community members who benefit from companionship, care and daily support, with a strong emphasis on dignity, inclusion and wellbeing.
Volunteers may assist with learning activities, basic care, therapeutic support or social engagement, depending on local needs and participant experience. The work is thoughtful and rewarding, offering insight into inclusive and compassionate care practices while helping create supportive, empowering environments. Designed for those who value empathy, patience and respect, Special Needs Support programs offer a meaningful way to contribute while learning from the communities they support.
